Grade-II listed Forty-Seven Peter Street, a former shipping warehouse named Lancashire House, sits on the corner of Peter Street and Southmill Street. It was designed by Manchester architectural practice of Walters, Barker and Ellis and built in 1868.
Today Forty-Seven is where a bold interior design scheme juxtaposes heritage architecture in the heart of Manchester.
Forty-Seven’s natural playfulness matches that of the city; with signature hot-touches that mirror the vibrancy of Peter Street. This is teamed with a design that is boldly and sensitively injected alongside the original design so that a luxury hotel experience is created.
When location means everything, we put our name to it. Just as we respectfully acknowledge this with Forty-Seven, we also continue the Peter Street setting we call home all the way through to the bar. As we re-form the focus of the rich history of the Petersfield area, we twist it, like a piece of lemon in a good martini, to create The Peterman.
